The voltage is 220V / 50Hz, AC. In remote regions, sometimes even 110V / 50Hz, AC is available. A Travel adapter is not necessary..

The stability of the power supply may not correspond to your expectations. Power failures are quite common. Many institutions have therefore taken precautions and have a backup power generator in the house. A small note: During hours of power via a power aggregator, you should disconnect your electrical devices from the net. Many a power supplies already have given up their functionality.

A small note: If you want to use your mobile in Viet Nam, a prepaid card of the major wireless carriers (e. G. VIETTEL or VIANAPHONE) is recommended. These are obtained easily in many stores and smaller shops. This saves money.

Internet Cafes you will find plenty. Many restaurants and hotels offer free internet PC `s or Wi-Fi hotspots for use with your own equipment. When using public PC `s please exercises a little caution with use of sensitive data.

• Climate

Climate

Viet Nam stretches 2000km from north to south. The climate ranges from subtropical in the north to tropical in the south.
During the summer month can reach 40 degree Celsius and above. During the winter months it may, in particular in the north, during evening hours, quite fresh. Temperatures around the 10 degrees are not uncommon .
In the months from September to November, some areas, especially in central Viet Nam are hit by heavy rain. The weather is subject to its own rules like everywhere. Ask us about it, before you start travelling.
